I just watched Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. This was the 2nd movie in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I have the extended version that is almost 4 hours long.
Anyway, everything seemed dark and hopeless to Frodo, Gandolph, and the gang. This movie paralleled the dark days of England during the German Blitzkreig, the incessant bombing of London by the Nazis. Tolkein wrote this story as a metaphor or England's struggle.
I feel that the U.S. has entered a similar period of time. We are not under assault by a foreign army or air force. No, we are under assault by far more insidious, disguised forces that seek to undermine our national finances and even our Constitution.
These are dark days.......but as Sam told Frodo, these are the the things of which the great stories are told, of brave citizens and courageous waifs. There is no quit in the heart of these United States. I have complete and final confidence in my fello Christians, conservatives, southerners, midwesterners, and more.
We will re-achieve what past generations gave us.
