The answer is really simple. Shoot your own movie and star in it. As long as we are all stars, and there is no problem with starring, let's move to the technical part of it, i.e. how to create a movie... or at least a video... or even a slide show.
A couple of times I was asked what I was using to create slide/video shows. I am far from being a techno-expert, but I noticed that few members are using ProShow Gold offered by Photodex Corporation, and for $69.95 it is a very good choice.
They offer two products: ProShow Gold for $69.95, and ProShow Producer. This is for professionals, and the options and features are very impressive.
I am using a simpler ProShow Gold, and if I am using at least 5% of what it offers, I would be surprised.
What I like about ProShow Gold is the simplicity of running it. I usually create the folder where my photos for the slideshow go. I can highlight all photos and simply drag them into the work area. And I do not need to worry about the size of the images.
You can drag the videos the same way you drag the photos, and you have good options of editing you own video. You can combine the slides and the video to create a desirable effect.
Same with the audio file. You can set the duration of the slides and the transition times for individual slide or in one click for the whole show. You can easily create attractive titles and enhance the show with a wide choice of transitions.
You can manage the audio, fade in, fade out the way you want, and it is all very easy to control. They offer a bunch of formats for saving the show. You can upload it to YouTube, or create a Flash file for use on your computer, or a bunch of other options, and you can choose the quality of the show. The learning curve is not really an issue, and their knowledgeable stuff is always ready to help.
This is one of the things that I really appreciate about Photodex. When I call, someone will answer the call and walk you through the issues. And they are offering a trial of their products, so that you can play with them before you make your decision.
Below are a couple of simple slideshows done with ProShow Gold.
