I am a die-hard Yankee Fan, so my youngest son Brandon got me and him tickets to Yankee Stadium for my birthday to the game last Wednesday. It was my first trip to the new Yankee Stadium, and I was very impressed with everything. He got tickets for the seats in the Mohegan Sun's Cafe in center field, the dark glass section by the bullpens.
The temperature was hot and muggy, but it was nice and cool where we were sitting. They have staff workers taking your food and drink orders so that you don't even have to leave your seat. It was almost like sitting at home and watching the game on a HUGE TV set .......... LOL
Also it was my first time to Monument Park. I had been to the old Yankee Stadium many times, but had never visited Monument Park. My advise to anyone going to Yankee Stadium who wants to visit Monument Park, is to get there early and go directly to Monument Park, because if you wait the line will be very, very long.
There isn't a bad seat in the new Yankee Stadium, and even when you are standing in the food lines you can still see the game, because those areas are wide open. And even if you get blocked out somehow, they have TV sets all over the place.
The experience at Yankee Stadium was perfect, the Yankees won, and I even got to see Mariano Rivera pitch. The only bad part was the ride home, because of the tornado's that touched down in Connecticut. The Merritt Parkway was bump to bumper for several miles. But I got to listen to the Red Sox game, and they lost, so that did made the time go by a whole lot easier .......... LOL
GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!
