Each year the New Brunswick Provincial Capital Commission selects one municipalty as the host of that year's official New Brunswick Day festivities.

This year's New Brunswick Day theme is " Pride in our Youth! Notre jeunesse... Notre fierté! ". Full details of the 2010 schedule of official events in Richibucto as well as other areas in New Brunswick may be found <here>.

Locally scheduled events include:

Cap-Pelé : celebrate at Aboiteau Beach - free admission starting at 4:00pm. The festival will begin with a cake cutting, followed by live entertainment with Gary Donnelle and the Group M3. Face painting will be provided by Monette Leger.

Dieppe :

• 2:00pm Bazaar and prizes at the Dieppe Market
• 4:00pm Merit Awards and cutting of a giant cake at Place 1604
• 4:30pm Free BBQ
• 5:00pm Performance by Art Richard

Dorchester : Activities will be held at Richard Park, 3485 Cape Road (rain location at St Ed's Community Hall, 4955 Main Street) starting at 12:00pm. This is a family oriented afternoon, so everyone is welcome to attend. BBQ, children's games with prizes, flags and pins. There will be a cake cutting ceremony, presentation of the New Brunswick Day Merit Awards and draws for prizes

Moncton: celebrations will be held from 12:00-4:00 pm at the Thomas Williams House on Park Street (special tearoom menu), and at the Musée de Moncton Museum, 20 Mountain Road from 1:00-3:00 pm.

Sackville: from 11:30am - 1:30pm a Community Picnic at the Bandstand Park, 70 Main Street and from 6:00pm - 9:00pm Music at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre, 182 Main Street

Shediac: - Scheduled Events at Pascal Poirier Park include 7:15pm - 8:30pm - Merrit Awards  and 7:15pm - 9:30pm  - a BBQ and a family concert with Acajun.
