Porter Ridge Elementary is located in the Porter Ridge schools
complex with Porter Ridge Middle and Porter Ridge Senior High. Grades K-5 attend the school on a traditional school calendar. Porter Ridge also has pre-kindergarten classes. The school has approximately 1000 students with average class sizes ranging from 18 students to 22 students in the fifth grade.
The 2010-2011 school year begins on August 25, 2010. An after-school program is available at Porter Ridge Elementary School.
Porter Ridge Elementary serves neighborhoods in Indian Trail NC north of Highway 74 and east and west of Rocky River Road. Some neighborhoods currently within the attendance zone include Country Woods East, Hamilton Place, Glendalough, Rolling Hills, Myers Meadows and Bonterra.
Porter Ridge Elementary students currently attend Porter Ridge Middle School and Porter Ridge Senior High or Piedmont Middle School and Piedmont Senior High.
