Wordless Wednesday - Fishing on the Californa Delta

By
Real Estate Agent with Chris Alston (Keller Williams Realty, Silicon Valley, California) 01338415

We all get to take some time off, and one of the things I love to do is FISH!  Now, we all know that all fisherman lies start with "You will never believe this, but that fish was THIS BIG"

Well, I am not showing you the picture of the fish I was catching, because the bass were as small as crappie...  And no matter HOW I angled the camera, they were still small...  (I can imagine Michael Scott commenting on that, and making me laugh in the process...).

Chris Alston

I was in Stockton, California fishing off of a dock before we powered up the delta to Ski Beach.  The actual place was Windmill Cove, off of the deep water channel leading into Stockton.

CA Delta

Heading up to Ski Beach.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Chris,

We will patiently wait for the one that landed. may you need help to get it in the boat.

Maybe next time you could just cut a hole in a net and show us lol

Enjoy the day

I hope your fishing trip is a blast! ;) Nice pictures! It's raining and generally blah here to day, so I'm jealous of the sunshine! My 4 year old is insane about fishing! And actually just fish in general. She loves casting and reeling in, and gets so excited when we actually catch something.

We took her to Cabela's last week and she was jumping up and down in front of the aquariums saying "Mom! Mom! Look at big the fishes! Can we take one home?" (Some of those suckers were bigger than her!) I asked her where we would keep such a huge fish and she promptly replied "In my bathtub." When I asked her where would she take a bath she said "It's ok mom, I don't need to take a bath anymore!" ;) Kinda gross, but really funny! ;)

Chris, first, I need to say to Phly that her story is real funny.  Kids are so cute and HONEST!  Chris, it is okay, you can show us any fish you caught.  BTW, I love crappie.  I just saw a picture my friend came to my office and showed off the fish they caught in Alabama, it was like more than 3 ft long, no kidding, it is a bass.

I would much prefer the fishing, I decided to stain my deck, rails, etc. yesterday and feeling the pain already!

Phly - Heeeeey...  I'm wearing a Cabela's hat in that picture!  :)

My son saw the fish tank at the Bass Pro Shops out here, and kinda got spooked by the big catfish.  AND he was spooked by the big stuffed bear...  So I had to show him that the bear was stuffed, then he like it.  He's 3.

My son loves to fish too.  Sometimes I just put a weight at the end and let him reel it in...  lol!

OMG, 3 feet?  You have to get a pcitre and post it!  I would totally love that!

I love Crappie too!  BUT, this was bass that I was catching, and... well... um....  They were not keepers or show-ers!

Hay Chris,

Have you ever heard of the California laughing fish?  This species does exist because they seem to flock around my lures every time I throw one out.  I see all kinds of them rolling in the water laughing at my attempts to catch them.  I have even heard rude noises from these little critters.  Just thought you would like to know.

Great way to spend the day!!!  I was up in Danville enjoying a great soccer tournament for my daughter Sunday and Monday.  I used to fish a lot as a kid with my dad, loved it!!!  Great way to enjoy the outdoors.

The marina around the bend has "Taco Tuesdays". Great place for drinking. Remember the old saying "the worst day fishing is better than the best day working!

Mel Gibson is pretty low to the ground but depending on what he is staged next to can make him look big in comparison. Put that fish next to some smaller pet store ones, jack them up on a glass platform, get on your knees and show up at the trophy fish..there. Wow, you must have gotten a hernia landing that one in the boat. Lucky to be alive and how many hours did it take to wear him out?maine fishing
