Today's real estate market in Hendricks County Indiana is sending some very conflicting messages to realtors, sellers, appraisers and buyers. We are experiencing somewhat of a "sawtooth recovery."We all see signs of stablization in the local economy and the possible rise in home values. Those signs pointing up are soon followed by more signs that point us back toward a downward trend.... Thus an up and down sawtooth sort of trend.
Since the April 30, 2010 deadline of the tax breaks for buyers and sellers, our local market has experienced a 33% drop in new and existing home sales right here in Avon and all of central Indiana.
