Actually I really am quite superstitious. I always leave a home via the same door I enter it, I don't walk under ladders, I toss salt over my shoulder if I spill it. And likely I have some that are unheard of to most of you. For example in my family, we don't give a knife as a gift... yet I have a wonderful set of chef knives that my brother "sold" me one Christmas. My Donald "sold" Abigail a knife for her birthday this past June too. But because my mom told me and her mom told her and her mom told her that if you GIVE a knife to someone you love it cuts your love in half, there is no "giving" of knives in our family.
When I purchased my business in January of 1995 I actually wouldn't schedule the closing for Friday the 13th and closed on Thursday, January 12, 1995 instead. But 10 years ago on Friday the 13th of October my now husband Donald was traveling from Germany to San Diego. And our first official "date" was and had to be that day. I drove to Hartsfield International and had coffee with Donald and that was also the day of our first kiss. So now I'm a little less wary of Friday the 13th than previously.
I did take the afternoon off today. I was going to work on one of my listings with some staging advice, but the owners decided to use their lake home this weekend and are there today, so I'll be working on that project that you'll hear more about later.
So how about you? Superstitious? Tell me what they are...
