~Speechless Sunday~

Arapahoe county Colorado offers many fun and exciting things to do for all ages. On Saturday, I was invited to go to my neighbor's daughter's soccer soccer tournament. She is playing in the competitve 10 and under league. Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day in the low 80s with lots of sun and a cool breeze. So being outside was a pleasure. The tournament was held near the Dove Valley center.

The girls, their team name, The Cougars, won their first game on Friday 1-0, and their second game, the one I watched on Saturday, they won 3-0. I am hoping they do well today.

It's crazy how much energy these kids have. It was a fun and relaxing day. I am glad I was able to experience this and will probably go again in the future!

I have four on different teams and one of the four plays on a travel team. The travel games are fun because it takes you somewhere you have not been... good way to spark some business while enjoying a game.

I was the oldest of four and it always amazed me at how many different directions we pulled her to all that the same time. Soccer, gymnastics, baseball, softball, dance, etc.. I admire mothers who have an interest in their kids, there isn't enough of them out there anymore.

Dawn, I used to go to my niece's soccer games and yes they do have a lot of energy...guess that's what being a kid is all about.

Where and when I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, there weren't any girls soccer programs that I recall. In high school we had a boys team. When I moved out here to Denver in '91, I was amazed at all the soccer programs. Now that may have changed back home. It's really a great sport. I have to check with my neighbor to see how the team did the rest of the tournament.
