Poochi and Mitzy never cease to amaze me. I've been out of the country for some time, and my husband, Cezar, relayed to me how my 2 dogs have been in low spirits. They don't jump like excited bouncing balls like they used to. My Mini Schnauzer, Mitzy, sits on my chair and tries to sniff the smell out of it. My other baby, Poochi the Maltese, would lay on the floor by my chair, waiting for me to come and sit by his side.
So my husband called me one day and asked me to "talk" to Poochi. With my usual tone, I shout their names the way they always hear it from me. And, wonder of all wonders, Poochi starts to watch the phone with an astonished look, and begins to lick the phone like it was me he's licking!! Like it was their long lost mommy who came into life through the phone! I bet it was a delight to see, my husband kept giggling as Poochi continued to show his affection to the phone.
It made my day knowing they're there waiting for me!
