It's not too late to visit Bumbershoot this year! From September 4-6th you can enjoy the festival at the Seattle Center.

Bumbershoot is celebrating its 40th year and is sure to be a crowd pleaser again this year - even in the rain. Bumbershoot is Seattle's urban arts festival and has a reputation of representing some of the best in Music and the Arts. I would recommend arriving early since over 150,000 are expected to attend this Labor Day Weekend.

So if you don't have any plans today or tomorrow head down to the Seattle Center and check out over 250 scheduled performances at Bumbershoot!

By the way, what does bumbershoot mean? Umbrella!

Debbie, thanks for reminding me of the many good times had at Bumbershoot. I always looked forward to the Labour Day weekend and the opportunity to see some unique music or talent that would otherwise go missed. And it was usually an easy drive from Vancouver where I lived, except for the dreaded border crossing.
