Remember what your Mother told you? It's Not What You Say, It's How You Say It!!! True, you have a choice, your words, your tone of voice, your face, it all makes a difference. Your words so quickly typed or spoken can make all the difference to the recipient and in the long run to you! Words can heal, or destroy. You have so many opportunities as a Real Estate Agent, to make someone's day, or ruin someon's day. (Think how many times they make and ruin yours!) Seriously, how you answer someone's questions can not only make a difference in whether they buy a home, but sometimes it can make a difference in how they think about not only you, but the whole real estate industry. Even if you are feeling really down and out, which is easy to do in this economy, step back in the house, look in the mirror, who are you walking out the door with today? Is it your positive self, full of hope and energy? Is it your negative self, (you know the one that you hate to acknowledge, because you know better, but everyone has a bad day)? I heard someone, a motivational speaker say. Make every word out of your mouth a gift wrapped up and tied with a ribbon for whomever you are talking to...(really badly said by me)..sometimes you make a difference and don't ever know it. But what will happen when you put on your positive face is simply that you will feel better. You can't feel bad with a smile on your face!!! Try IT! You'll Like it, you can say almost anything with a smile and you will get a smile back!! Smiles to you!!

Isn't that the truth, Flynn. Words can be soothing or missiles, damaging everything in their path. My mother-in-law told me many years ago, "always think about what you're going to say before you say it. Once the words are out of your mouth, you don't own them anymore and you can never take them back." Wise words.
Very good thought. I wish more people would choose their words wisely.
