So often when I am counseling my Nashville short sale clients, a lot of emotions come to the surface. Feelings of fear because of the unemployment or loss of income, feelings of abandonment behind a divorce or separation, embarassment over their present financial situation, and anger and depression over a life out of control. A lot of times my job as a Nashville short sale broker resembles more of a grief counselor or psychologist.
I saw in the newspaper today that the Restore Ministries of the YMCA will be having an 8 week class entitled Journey to Freedom starting on Monday. This course is supposed to help a person reach their full potential in mind, body, and spirit. Quoting from the Tennessean: "Whether some is feeling lonely, depressed, overwhelmed, financially strained, struggling with a life controlling issue, stressed, trying to make a crucial decision or is having trouble with relationships." I think this would be an excellent course for many of my Nashville short sale clients and any people facing similar decisions/situations.
The course meets at LifePoint Church at 506 Legacy Drive in Smyrna from 6:30 to 8 p.m. starting on Monday, September 13th. The cost for the course is $65 and it includes a workbook. The wonderful news is that financial assistance is available if someone cannot afford the $65. The newspaper article states that "No one is turned away due to inability to pay." I am hoping that this will be a wonderful resource for those who attend. For more information, call meghan Smith at 615-565-6278 or visit their website at www.RestoreYMCA.org
