I apologize if I was late in returning your phone calls and emails over the past 2 days but I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you what I have been doing.

Growing up in the military has turned me into a sponge for more information. I have retained this desire for more knowledge and information in my career as a real estate agent.

The Council of Residential Specialists offers a variety of courses throughout the year. I was attending a class entitled "Wealth Building" at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 23rd and 24th.

The two instructors for the course were Chris Bird and Tina Daniel. Chris has a finance background dating back more than 30 years and served as an IRS agent for 16 years. This guy knows numbers, strategies and investor tactics.

Tina was named Arkansas Realtor of the Year in 1989 and was nominated for Ourstanding Educator of the Year in 1990. Tina knows taxes and is phenomenal with numbers.

Previously I had taken classes to obtain my Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI) designation, Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation, At Home With Diversity (AHWD) designation, Internet Professional (e-PRO) designation and the other CRS classes that I have taken, I have to admit that:

The knowledge that I have gained over the past 2 days will allow me to be a better Real Estate Agent to you, my clients

I will be attending another 2 day course on the big island of Hawaii next week and then one more 2 day course in Maui in October so that I can again continue to broaden my knowledge of the real estate industry and serve you with the highest degree of professionalism and knowledge possible.

Jeff-I am really enjoying the CRS classes the most so far. They are all educational but CRS subjects are really great. Have a great weekend. By the way, I thought your rut ro comment was pretty funny. That reminded me of one of my old favorite shows which I am sure thats where you got it from....Scooby Doo.

David: Karen gave me a bunch yesterday from her trip although it is not of the flowing...just the craters...I will be doing something shortly about the black sand beach....beautiful!!!!

Sally-Black sand beach is a great site. We were just there earlier in the year. Tonya mentioned that there was a black sand beach on the big island called Kalapana (sp?) that she used to go to as a child. She said that the beach is no longer there because of the lava flow covering the beach. At least there is still this one.......

Bruce-Thanks for pointing that out. I believe in continuing education very, very much. There were many veteran agents in the class that showed you can never be in this business too long to still learn more about it. There is a lot of education going on right here at Active Rain too!
