The iconic, the colourful, slightly ostentacious, amazing, bustling, energizing and incredible Times Square!
With tons of visitors what better place for billboards? Actually the zoning ordinances actually require that all building owners have illuminated signs. Did you know those signs are called "spectaculars", and that the really big ones are called jumbotrons?
Who hasn't watched the New Year's Eve Ball drop in Times Square? I know watching it is still on my Bucket List! Although my daughter Rachel went this year - and said it wasn't all that much fun standing in the rain for 7 hours waiting for the ball to drop and no porta potties to be seen! :)
Times Square is also the centre of the Theater district, Mamma Mia, Memphis, Jersey Boys, Phantom, Lion King, oh there were so many plays and musicals I wanted to see and in the end I didn't see any! Probably my only big regret. But we did end up seeing the opening of Eat, Love Pray in a movie theatre in the Theatre District and absolutely loved it.
P.S Sad to say, we did NOT see the Naked Cowboy :-()-:
