My daughter needs a new Verizon wireless phone

For a full featured smart phone with web browsing, texting, camera, email, gps, etc, etc, etc.  I like the HTC Incredible and the Motorola Droid 2.  If you want something that is as inexpensive as possible with only phone, text, and camera functions I would just go down to the store and ask for a non-smart phone with a camera option.  Any smart phone is going to require a data plan which will cost an additional $30 per month.  So if you don't want that, make sure you tell them something w/o a required data plan, these will be the cheapest phones to buy and keep, but will lack functionality as most people are going to PDAs.  Good luck!

I can't help you with phone suggestions on Verizon, but I have been a loyal and satisfied client with Sprint (they are awesome) and the HTC Evo is great (although it may be hard to get since it's so popular). Hope she finds what she is looking for! 

Sybil - I too am looking to get a new phone in the next 30 days and have really been checking out the various phones.  I don't need a lot of bells and whistles but I'm leaning towards the Verizon Blackberry or Droid (maybe).  Hubby has the blackberry and loves it.
