Motivation is where you find it…

So tell me what motivates you.  Is it the green stuff?  What about providing for your family is that your motivation.  The point is find out what motivates you and use it to grow your business.  Who knows during the phase of finding out what motivates you; you may find there are more things than one.  Use those motivations to do one more call, one more door knock, and one more cold call.   Remember for each no you're one more closer to a yes.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home.

I have found if you fear failure sooner or later it will find you.  Why not use failure is not an option and find success

Great question James! For me money is the by-product of owning and building a successful real estate practice. And the pursuit of that motivates me. A successful practice attracts productive agents and is capable of operating without me, and will continue operate long after I'm gone.

What motivates me is the light that goes on in a person's mind when we brainstorm through a problem.  Everything has a solution and I love to find it.  I only hope it doesn't take a septenary of days to figure it out!  (I've been TRYING to use that word, LOL, and I finally did it)

At school we studied a bunch of schools of thought regarding motivation and success.  I read a lot of Napolean Hill's books, in which he interviews some of the most successful people in business and other walks of life.  One of the most common characteristics was their fear of failure.  It pushed them (we're talking Carnegie, Rockefeller, Morgan, et al) to work harder than normal, as it has me.

Carnegie also said something else contrary to conventional thought, "Put all your eggs in one basket and then really, really take care of that basket!"  That might not work for everybody!

I used to fear failure, but in the long run have used it as my motivation to success. To fear of failing is already failing.
