Breckenridge Ski Resort is one of the best ski resorts in the world! With countless accolades from Best Ski Town to Best Terrain Park, Breckenridge Ski Resort is always at the top of the list for any ski vacation. WE all know ski vacations can get a little expensive so here are a few tips on how and where to save money when planning your next Breckenridge Ski Resort vacation!
1. Plan Ahead - The earlier you book the better! Now don't get me wrong there can be last minute deals to find but why take the chance. Local companies like Summit Mountain Rentals and Paragon Lodging are offering winter specials right now.
2. Stop in Denver - Must people fly into DIA (Denver International Airport) and on your why up the mountain is a great time to stop at grocery stores like King Soopers, Safeway, and Albertsons to purchase discount lift tickets. Usually if you buy 3 or more days you can save anywhere from $10 per day and up. You should also check out sporting good stores like Christy Sports, Gart Sports, and Breeze Ski Rental.
3. Book Online - This will make your trip a lot easier. Almost everyone can be found and bought online and at a discount as well. Checkout sites like EBay and StubHub.com You can always find discounted tickets or leftovers!
4. Plan a Group Trip - The bigger the better! Buying is bulk is always cheaper. Try to get groups of 20+ and call your travel agent. Usually you will see a big discount for lodging, lift tickets, and rentals. Sometime you even get discounts on food and drinks!! If you can't find that many people to go then search out other peoples groups and see if you can join them!
5. Scalping at the Resort - This I recommend as a last resort. If someone buys a 3 day pass and only skies for 2, then that last day is up for sale! Usually you will find people trying to sell there last day at the entrance to the resort or in the parking lots. BE CAREFUL!!! Also make sure you check for a VALID date on the ticket before you hand over any cash! Also if you are lucky you can find ski passes hanging on fence posts, so keep your eyes open!
