AUGH - No kidding! Funny post!

LOL, I laugh but it is really sad. My father used to drill me with math problems when I was little (for me to make change before the cashier was able to do it). I used to be irritated by it, but now as I am older (and hopefully a little wiser), I may not be able to beat the machine 100%, but I am pretty good. I remember him telling me times when he would give the 'extra change' to get exact change back and he would just baffle some people :-)! 

I can't believe the amount of cashiers I see who can't count change. 

Remember the old times when they used to count it out, back to you?

This is very funny, and sad at the same time because it's probably true. 

Bill, It drives me crazy when you give that extra pennies and the teller has no idea what to do!

William, I know these are told as jokes (at least I think they are), but the last one about kicking in a nickel actually does happen.  Because of the automated cash registers...cashiers no longer have to think about how to make change...AND THEY DON'T!!!

Oh boy. That girl is in for a rude awakening when she enters the real world. Can't blame the bank forever!

Regarding the cashier and Terry's post (#3), I see that all the time. Seriously. If the machine isn't operating, they often can't figure out what the change should be.

Waaayyy back when I was a teenager working at the movie theatre we had a cash drawer...just a drawer with money in it and we had to calculate prices and change in our head and then be held accountable at the end of the day for inventory to make sure it all balanced out....could you imagine that these days?!

Funny story, vey sad that it could be a very true story as you point out.
