On Friday the Us Autism & Asperger Association (USAAA) conference will feature Keynote speaker Dr. Martha Herbert, an Assistant Professor of Neurolgy at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Temple Grandin and Dr. Stephen Shore, both well-known in the world of autism, will address the conference on Saturday.
Dr. Temple Grandin will be discussing behavioral/developmental approaches to learning and sensory problems as well as her experience with winning 7 Emmy awards for the HBO movie "Temple Grandin".
Dr. Shore, a sef-advocate, and professor at Adelphi University, is well-known for presenting at autism conferences on six continents. He will discuss promising approaches used to educate individuals on the autism spectrum leading them in the direction of more fulfilling and productive lives.
On Sunday, Keynote speaker Areva D. Martin, Esq., will discuss the importance of parents being more involved with the decisions of which therapies and treatments would be best for their children. Areva is known for her appearances on The Dr. Phil Show.
