Gerry, you nailed it!  These photos are incredibly beautiful and thank you for sharing them - we just don't see the leaves changing in Southern California like this!

Susan,

I know what you mean.  I was also fortunate to live in Southern California for 3 years.  La Jolla may not have leaves changing colors especially with palms but it does have lots of beautiful views and scenery.

Hi Gerry - You have had some great sunny weather for your fall leaf drives this year.  You seem to be playing around with your photo editor (Picasa?) and/or camera settings on some of your photographs.

OMG - That's a really catchy name for a restaurant, in that last photo!  The pictures are stunners, and the autumn colors are gorgeous!

Gerry,  Okay, so what is the moose thing going on in Montana?  Thirty plus years in state I have seen exactly one moose (outside Many Glacier Lodge in Glacier)...thousands of elk (literally) and countless deer...but Moose?  I mean, I like Moose Drool (Missoula Brewery), but come on...there are more Grizzel Bears than Mooses!! LOL!

Marc,

Very good weather and plenty of sun indeed!   I use Picasa to sign all my photos and I do like to use it to crop and make minor enhancements.  :)

Deborah,

I smiled after reading your comment.  Thank you!   I do not find moose (plural of moose is moose) every month of the year but when I do find a live one, I take enough photos to share for a year!  :)

I tend to spot moose about once or twice a year.   If I am lucky, as recently was in my most recent trip to Yellowstone National Park, I can see two at the same time (Moose Monday - My Moose Favorite Photo Subjects).

I have not seen any grizzly bear in the wild since 2007 and I am grateful that I have seen more moose than grizzly bear and that I get to photograph and share photos here on AR!  :)

Oh! And if you want to see more moose from Montana and other parts of the country (there are more sightings in Alaska!), you should join the moosely fun group called Moose Monday .

Paul,

It is interesting that you ask the question.  I have a feeling I won't be able to top off this series.  In fact, it will likely be the last series for me here on AR.  A lot has changed in my life and this series will likely be my way of making one final good impression here on AR.

Gerry - Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to you too!! do you celebrate it still there even though you no longer live in Canada, or do you just stick with American Thanksgiving now?

Cynthia,

Thanks.  With a name like that... you had to click!   :)   I did not get the chance to try the place but perhaps the next time I am in Bozeman.

David,

I try and celebrate both but whether or not I celebrate it big or small depends on which side of the border I am at the time.  They have Columbus Day in the States on Monday but I am more used to celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving on this October weekend.  :)
