Pam Fry of Award Realty in Surprise Arizona sells homes in the Sun City Grand community. She is very successful at the sale of homes and by chance happened to pick up my in-laws as a client. Upon signing the contract for the listing, Pam recommended decluttering, some staging suggestions and took photographs of the home herself. Her agency or some company took those photographs and put them out on the web, on Realtor.com and created a virtual tour for the MLS and company websites.
My in-laws took one look at the photographs and balked. They know what a good photograph should look like since their son owns one of the top Real Estate Photography firms in Arizona. All it took was one phone call to the agent to realize that she was about to lose the listing as we all know that most real estate is viewed on-line before showing - both by potential clients and potential Buyer-Agents. So....
A phone call to Brad, we packed up our equipment, ran out to Surprise and reshot the home. Out of this a beautiful Virtual Tour, Slide Show and new mls pictures were created and placed immediately within hours onto the web.
A word to the wise agent - get a good photographer. Staging makes the home look good when physically visited, but no-one will visit if the home doesn't look good in the initial views on the web.
