PET COSTUME CONTEST

This Sunday, October 24th the Animal Friends of the Valley are holding a pet costume contest at Sam Hicks Monument Park in Old Town Temecula between 1 and 5 p.m..

The contest’s theme is a character from a movie or book. A $10 per-category donation is requested. For information and Pre-registration call Kirsti Peffers at (951) 471-8344.

OLD TOWN HOEDOWN

Down the street from the Pet Costume Contest the Stampede on Old Town Front Street is holding a Hoedown between 4 to 8 p.m..They are featuring country western line dancing lessons and competitive mechanical bull rides.

Tickets are $25 per person. According to Jeff Horseman of the Press Enterprise Newspaper you can purchase tickets at The Bank Mexican Restaurant & Bar in Old Town or any Stew’s Barber Shop Location. Proceeds will benefit Jacob’s House, a planned McDonald-type house for families with hospitalized loved ones.
