Wende, you can knit or crochet a small scarf and send it to Tamarack to add to the whole scarf.
Susan, Tamarack is were everyone stops to get a treasure of WV.
Jane, I agree!
What a great way to bring attention to Breast Cancer month.
Rebecca, I think this is the best AR post I've read all month...and how fitting since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! I loved seeing your slideshow and reading the heartwarming story about how the idea for the World's Longest Pink Ribbon Scarf came about. I'm going to suggest this immmediately and then re-blog it! :)
Leilani
P.S. Regrettably, I do not know how to knit or crochet...
Rebecca, What a great post for Tamarack. If I am ever in WV I will be sure to stop there. My Mother passed away in 1979 from breast cancer at a very young age. It is amazing to me how far they have come in treating breast cancer over the years. Thanks for keeping the awareness alive in your post.
Wonderful post..........thank you for making us all aware of Tamarack and what they are doing for the breast cancer cause.........marvelous.
Judi, thank you.
Leilani, thanks so much for you wonderful compliment and for the suggestion. I do not know how to knit or crochet, and is a good time to learn it at Tamarack.
Diane, I hope you do make a stop at Tamarack next time you are in WV.
Roger, thank you and yes Tamarack is doing such a great job for the cause.
Rebecca, definitely a place to visit, great post suggested and reblogged.
Mickey, you are the greatest, thanks so much!
Rebecca,
You out did yourself with this post about Tamarack. Great slide pictures of the pink scarf. I think Breast Cancer Awareness has received its proper exposure this October.
Wow! Everyone else took the words out of my mouth, but I must confirm that this is a great post & slide show. Thanks for making more people aware of the fight against breat cancer.
My husband & I stopped at Tamarack a few years ago on our way south. Great stop! We should have planned a half day there.
Congratulations on the feature....
Hi Rebecca -- What a fun place. I couldn't help but click through to a big pic of your profile pic -- I have a chocolate lab and that one of yours is a beauty. Labs have the most kindest eyes and gentle expression -- never ceases to melt my heart and make me smile when I see one! :))))))
Rebecca...
I have stopped at Tamarack many times on trips up I-77. Thanks for passing the scarf story on to us, and please let us know how long it turns out to be!
