This week I had several Realtor shopping price's for Home Inspection.All three where looking for the cheapest price possible. Wow...this is very crazy because do know you could be liable for that referral. If I was a Realtor I would get maybe five business card and let the client pick the Home Inspector. Because I would not want to be liable for future lawsuit.
As of right I know about three lawsuits that the Realtor referred this one home inspector.
John ~ The only agents who should be recommending only one inspector are the ones looking for lawsuits! I give a list of three and encourage them to look outside those three if they feel necessary.
Chris---I'm glad you do kind of stuff..Because I would hate to be sued.I know of three case right now the realtor is gtting sued.
I now give a list of 4 or 5 myself and let the client choose. Like you said the liability is huge even if the client wants you to look for an inspector for them. 
Todd--I'm glad you do for clients..You don't how many I tell agent don't just give them my card only because i want other home inspector have a chance at job too.Thats how i look at it.
