HUDucation for home buyers. 3 new videos were released this month (November, 2011) at YouTube's HUD channel. All 3 videos are a “must” view for real estate professionals as well as home buyers.

You, as a professional may know everything in the video, but we should all be aware of HUDucation, what is being taught, and the subtle implications.

Buyers will be more savvy and prepared from the beginning. Each real estate professional should make sure that buyers have viewed these videos and make sure the buyer is clear on all of the information.

If the buyer does not use the Internet, it might be a good idea to make these videos available to them.

Buyers—“I did not know”, or, “I did not understand” simply won’t fly.

Guen and Susanne, you are welcome:-) These are virtually "hot" off the press. It is very important that we are aware of these and have watched them ourselves. We can certainly recommend the videos to new buyers. Personally, I do not want to work with anyone that has not or will not watch them. The vids are for our protection as well as the buyers' protection.

Jark, I'm smiling, because at 7:30 if you listen to each, and read between the lines--you will see what I see. A call for accountability from all parties, including the buyer.

Margaret, I agree. I am happy to see others are excited about these new tools, too.

Kristyn, great idea. There is a lot of old HUD info out there. Will all that HUD is doing now, I recommend sticking to HUD developed material; at least until the dust settles on transitions.

I am sure these videos will also be used in home buyer seminars. I think they are one of those 1st things that rank along with "Working with a Real Estate Broker". (1st meeting checklist)
