The Greenbrier's Charity Casino Weekend Benefits Eight Area Organizations
In keeping with The Greenbrier’s commitment to the community, the resort will host a Charity Casino Weekend November 19-20, 2010, to benefit eight area organizations.
Participating non-profit associations include the
- National MS Society,
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (WV Chapter),
- Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (WV/Kentucky Chapter),
- American Cancer Society (WV),
- Alzheimer ’s Association (WV),
- Greenbrier Valley Theatre,
- Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences and
- WV Symphony Orchestra.
Several activities, including receptions, board meetings and informational workshops, are planned as part of the weekend.
Friday:
The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s string trio will perform in the Upper Lobby from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Saturday:
A planned giving seminar presented by the Clay Center and a Workshop by the Alzheimer’s Association.
Special afternoon performances by The Greenbrier’s talented Springhouse Dancers.
Casino Club will feature entertainment by the Voltage Brothers on Friday and the Casper Band on Saturday from 9:00 pm until 1:00 am.
Non-registered resort guests are welcome to attend and may purchase a daily event ticket for $10 per person.
All of the proceeds from the event ticket sales and 5% of the Casino Club’s slot business will benefit the participating charities.
To pre-register for this special charity event, please contact the Concierge at 304-536-1110. Non-registered guests must select a participating charity. Dress code for the Casino Club is resort casual during the day; after 7:00 pm, jackets are required for men and jeans are not permitted.
