What Is happening in Franklin, NC during the Holiday Season? Kick off the holidays downtown Franklin,NC!

Tree Lighting festivities kick off the holidays Thanksgiving weekend in Downtown Franklin, NC.

Friday evening Nov. 26th at 7p.m. on the square in downtown Franklin, NC we will kick off the season with the tree lighting ceremony.  It signals the beginning of the holiday celebrations. 

 The Streets of Franklin Merchants Associationwill sponsor a candlelight service following the tree lighting.  Anyone wishing to light a candle is welcome to participate. 

This is perfect for the whole famliy to come out and get into the holiday Spirit.  There will be a multitude of activities. Hot Cider & Cookies for everyone to enjoy.

Sat. Nov. 27th at 10a.m. to 1p.m. will be Cookies with Santa Claus.  Bring the children to the lower level of the Town Hall to visit with Santa and have some cookies and cider. 

They can also write a letter to the jolly ole elf and put it in a special mailbox in front of Town Hall downtown Franklin, NC. All letters will be answered by Santa.

To Conclude this Thanksgiving Weekend Kickoff - Sunday Nov. 28th at 3p.m. is the Annual Franklin Christmas Parade.  It will travel throught the streets of downtown Franklin and this is always a big hit every year.  For more information on any of these events visit www.renewingfranklin.org or call Linda Schlott, executive director of the Franklin Main Street Program at (828) 524-2516
