Wow! Never thought about it that way. I use my GPS on my phone, but that seems even more dangerous! Thanks for opening up my eyes.
I never thought about that either. Scary how technology can both help and hurt us at the same time.
Jacqueline & Michael,
It is scary to think about. The conveniences of life can also be a hazard. Do I want to get rid of my garage opener? NO way.
I NEVER leave my GPS hanging on my windshield though. Too dangerous. I had always considered it an open invitation to rob me but had never thought about the information in it.
I had friends go to the movies; they stashed their purses under the seat & came back to a vandalized vehicle.
Hi Faye - thanks for bringing this issue up... Technology is great, I love it but we sure need to be careful.
This does give pause for ponder, doesn't it??
Had not thought about it.. but will be now.
Wonder what else we use that has our information that we are not aware of?
That is a great idea...I will change my home right now!

Oh, Cindy. I have NOT changed mine yet. Me bad.
Here in California we’re required to keep proof of insurance in our car. It, of course, has all the information that a thief would need to cause havoc in our lives.
That is true for Texas also. Our ID cards not only have our names and addresses but EVERY driver on your policy. Which is good for the police but not good if you are robbed.
One time my daughter locked the keys in the car and when I called roadside assist, they would not open the car unless I could provide proof to the locksmith that I owned the car PRIOR to him unlocking it. I kept telling the dispactcher, I can provide proof of insurance in my name once the car is unlocked but she would not even dispatch someone to open the car. IS that NUTS?
