She wanted a ONE BEDROOM downtown, on the water for $1500 per month, ok, so after I talked her off the ledge I explained that there was no building on the water with a one bedroom for $1500. So we looked at an apartment at 9 Regent St Jersey City, NJ 07302. Nice duplex one bedroom for $1900, then there was another duplex for $1875 on the corner with all windows as the side wall.
I have to tell you I am more than happy to find the lowest priced apartment for my customer/client, but you have to be realisitic. I am not trying to rent the most expensive apartment to you, but I am trying to rent an apartment TO YOU, so I will show you what I can within the parameters you have set.
We will go out again tomorrow and look at places in Weehawken, there is a brand new building on Maple St which I will take her to, unfortunately I don't think it will work for her since it will be out of her budget. She has TWO cars, a dog which she spends $1000 per month on (for what I don't know), so I think I am fighting an uphill battle.
