Many are used to me tooting my own horn, well I'd like to take a break from that (just for a moment) to highlight some local Virginia Realtor blogs. Some are veterans, some are new and on fire! For those of you that like awards, feel free to take the unicorn graphic and put it on your blog.
In no particular order:
- Jay Seville's JustNewListing.com's Arlington Virginia Condos Blog (notice the SEO friendly link) My absolute break out favorite part of his blog is his "Overpriced Condos" section. I think this could even become a spin-off blog!
- Brian Block's Northern Virginia Real Estate Blog I particularly liked the article: "We can always reduce the price later" where he tries to show with data how a price drop is a bad marketing plan. And What to Expect at the Closing Table in Northern Virginia He has skyrocketed past me on ActiveRain for frequency of postings in just a few months.
- Cindy Jones VaRealEstateTalk.com and specifically: Saying NO to Generic Market Reports!
- Daniel Odio & Drodio Realty's Effecting Change and specifically the short, but so right for everything in life: The "Pick 2" Rule
- Danilo Bogdanovic & Tony Arko from Keller Williams realdiablog.com tomorrow's real estate trends discussed today and their ingenious blogback invention that seeks feedback publically for listings.
- Dave Rosenmarkle from Highland Realty: Dave's Blog and specifically his pulse on the legal happenings: DC Broker Owner Commits Fraud & Coughs up $25,000
Other local blogs:
- Author: "Harriett" Northern Virginia Housing Bubble Fallout This blogger has some amazing analysis of the MRIS data. Nobody knows who it is, but they must be an agent for them to have this level of access.
- Author: "David" BubbleMeter A anonymous writer that watches NAR's every word. Famous for this David Lereah Watch where he chronicled for months quotes from the chief economist.
HOW DO YOU SIGN UP FOR THESE BLOGS?
These are all blogs that are part of my personal RSS feed. A little house keeping for those that aren't aware of what RSS is. RSS stands for Rich Site Summary. It is a system that allows you to quickly see the last few articles from dozens of bloggers (and craigslist searches and news "feeds"). To get a site's feed, look for this image and click on it. I suggest using Google's Reader (igoogle.com). Here is a great article that shows you a screen shot of the page: iGoogle is now my homepage and my RSS reader
Another way to get the blog sent to you via email. Many will give you the option to enter your email address on their blog somewhere, and hopefully they will respect your wishes and not spam you.
Enjoy!
