Robert Cox is a diehard blogger…. so much so that he took on the New York Times way back when and won… having them change their policy about retracting opinions on the Op Ed page…. For the last 2 years, Robert has been the conscience of New Rochelle on his “Talk of the Sound” blogsite where he is the Managing Editor, and which only focuses on New Rochelle and what happens within. Robert will be the first person to inform you that he is seeking both positive and negative comments (“otherwise how can a city grow!’) and while some could describe him as being confrontational, he would rather mention that he is just investigating and putting forth the facts to help our city grow. Robert welcomes all points of view, and has invited me to share my (positive) blogs on his site. I am thrilled at the prospect, and I am looking forward to posting blogs about this great city. I love New Rochelle, and have enjoyed living here for over 32 years, and my intent is to let others know what a great place it is to live here.
Robert’s website has over 35,000 visitors each month with a growing audience.
Robert has been broadcasting at WVOX this year on New Rochelle, commenting on his hourly show of weekly topics relevant to New Rochelle. As Robert stated to me, “If it isn’t about New Rochelle, then I do not publish it or talk about it!” He confided that many people - rather than state their names, will drop off info about the area at his home which he then further investigates on their behalves. I think it would be an understatement to NOT call Robert “The Conscience of New Rochelle.”
Mr. Cox’s radio show can be heard every Friday from 11- 12 Noon on WVOX New Rochelle.
New Rochelle is GREAT!
