PLANNING FOR THE UPCOMING NEW YEAR. 
Yes, here it is December, and like many of you I'm working on my personal and business goals for 2011. No, I'm not finished yet, but I'm adding in more BIG ROCKS this year than in previous years. Why am I adding new BIG ROCKS you may ask, the short version is that I have recently been elected to and installed as the 2011 Phoenix Chapter - Women Council of REALTORS(R). Ok guys and gals, no laughing yet. Between 15 and 20% of WCR members are men. Yes fellas, we can learn a thing or two here (and we bring a different viewpoint to the table)!
Thank you in advance for the good wishes and thoughts. I am certainly looking forward to 'earning' them. It truly is an honor to be able to serve my fellow real estate industry members in this capacity. I believe that supporting the industry in this way will be a way to give back to all whom I have worked with, as well as to grow personally and professionally through this service.
In the time I have been a member of WCR, I have been able to meet a number of successful and influential leaders and mentors. Additionally, I have been fortunate to develop additional professional relationships with several members and affiliates. For me, it is enjoyable and rewarding to work together with agents, lenders, inspectors and title people who I know personally. As a team, we provide enhanced service to our clients because we have extra, common shared experiences to draw from which I believe creates better service to all customers and clients.
I plan to share some of my WCR experiences with you over the coming year. I hope you enjoy the journey as I grow in this exciting and challenging time in real estate. Don't forget to add a few BIG ROCKS in you business and personal plans. And remember, if you're not having FUN, you're not doing it right while PLANNING FOR THE UPCOMING NEW YEAR.
