A REALTOR Is Part Of The Circus But Not The Clown

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Ring MasterI wrote a blog post the other day discussing the many hats a REALTOR wears in working with clients, of chief importance is the TEACHER hat. But if you think of a

CIRCUS,

A REALTOR Is Part Of The Circus But Not The Clown.

OK, some are clowns but that would be a rant or Members Only post. I am talking about what all good REALTORS are.

C'mon guess?

   RINGMASTER of course.

They get all those lions and elephants and tigers to play in harmony. They put the deal together. They stay cool in the face of danger, well pressure, and when the day or week or months of time is up, the DEAL IS DONE. Then on to the NEXT CIRCUS, I mean transaction.

BTW, REALTORS and/or Ringmasters are not perfect. Hey kid on the chalkboard 3 x 3 is NOT 6. Maybe he should have had the PLUS symbol between the two numbers Ha Ha. Or, he missed that Real Estate Math continuing education class cause he was so busy with helping clients.

Be a GREAT Ringmaster and TAME those beasts!!

Good analogy sir,

I would also think that juggler would be another position in the circus.

Great analogy Gary!

Unfortunately, their are far more clownsthan ringmasters! Let us not forget the LO's. For professional clowns you need Congressmen.

It seems more like demons than simple beast these days Gary. But, sound and solid advice as usual.

Cheers to your new year in 2011.

Hi Gary,

Juggling balls and staying out of the Ring of Fire is what it's all about! And just like "it ain't over until the fat lady sings," in our business, "it ain't over until it funds and closes!" I just love it when the curtain closes, don't you?

Hi Gary, some days it feels like a circus but not very often.  I like your analogy of the Ringmaster who keeps the show moving along.

I'd be the one in the ring spinning 10 plates all at once. That's my life.

Hi Gar, Yep, I would look really good in that hat, lol. Actually I look best in my Stetson ( when when coralling cats)  but the Ringmaster Hat is good. Great analogy. Happy New Year!

Hi Gary --- great title, really grabbed my attention.   Ringmaster or clown??  Ringmaster has a bit of a criminal sound to it and well, clown ---- not a good thing in most business activities.  As for the child in the photo --- another lesson in continuing education.

Hi Gary, Oh I like the sound of ringmaster... does that mean we get to wear the big hat so we can keep all our smaller ones underneath it?

Gary, what a wonderful way of expressing it!  I've never felt like the clown.  The barker perhaps.

Hi Gary - Ringmaster describes it perfectly!  Especially when I am orchestrating inspections, repairs, maintenance on a vacant home, etcetera, in addition to herding the seller and buyers through the transaction to closing. Good analogy.

I enjoyed your analogy, and it is fitting.  There are thos eof us who are the ring masters, and those of us who jump through like trained circus dogs. The difference is waiting for the cues or taking command.
