How do you structure your mindset? Really? Do you believe what's told to you? or do you create your own reality? I do! I make my own opportunity and my own rules. I affect my own business.....do you? or do you let others do that for you?
I visited an old office of mine yesterday. The very first I worked in when I got my license....whew, that was a while ago. Do you know what I saw? The same faces! The same people doing the same thing. The leader board had the same names and the lunchroom was filled with the same agents.....you know, those who were NOT on the leader-board.
Nothing much had changed!
What had changed was me. When I left to join a team at Keller-Williams, the same lunchroom-ers told me I was nuts. That I was giving up too much commission in split to "work for someone else."
I guess I figured 50% of something was better than 70% of nothing.
I know you know what happened? I succeeded! I advanced within that team. I left with that team when they began a new brokerage. I started my own team. I made my own future....independent of the "experienced" lunchroom-ers.
In the years since....I've found business through blogging on Active Rain and beyond, through questions and answers on Trulia and Zillow. I have made friends with these sites. I have watched for opportunities and gained from advice of others. I'm thriving....are you?
