Please click here to read Proverbs Chapter 6

Do you want to avoid disaster in your life? Then you should read and head the lessons for life written by Solomon. He advised us against co-signing loans for others, he condemned laziness and listed seven activeies that God hates in this chapter. He also advised his readers to keep a safe distance from immoral people, and speaks again about avoiding adultery. You will find that we need to hear the same things over and over again, because while we may hear, we do not always listen, while we listen, we may not always head the warning. We find that we compromise with sin, or that we won't be burned by this or that, not if we hide it, we can get by with it. But the eyes of the Lord are on us all, we cannot hide from Him, and our sins will be accounted for.

Today: Ask God to help you look away from sexual images that may cause lust. Also ask for strength to reject sexual advances.

2 Timothy Chapter 2 verses 22-26 (Proverbs from the apostle Paul)

22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. 24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. 25 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. 26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

Paul, I agree we have to keep reading all these admonitions over and over again.
