Kodak Video Challenge: Book Review for Buying Real Estate
I wanted to review some of the many, many books I've read on real estate investing and flipping. This is the first in a series, and it ends up focusing on a straightforward manual written by another mortgage broker here in California. This book's subtitle is, "Mortgage Your Home... Not Your Life." It covers most of my perspective as a mortgage broker, from how to choose between a banker and a mortgage broker, to whether you want a salesperson or not, and what steps you can take to protect yourself going through the loan process.
Before getting caught up in looking at homes, or properties, or learning about flipping properties, I think learning how to finance a home purchase for your owner-occupied residence - keeping payments comfortable instead of maxing out what you could qualify for - is a smart first step. More reviews of real estate investing books to follow in later blog posts...
.
I used a Kodak Zi8 for this video on real estate investing.
"This post is written as a submission to the ActiveRain Kodak Video Challenge contest. I have the chance to win the KODAK PLAYTOUCH Pocket Video Camera, great for realtors looking to create wide angle home tours and real estate marketing videos."
