The Next Step Is To Get Organized

Now it's time to gather key information and educate yourself. We suggest you check your credit rating to ensure that nothing negative is outstanding that could prevent you from obtaining a mortgage. This can be done by contacting one of the three largest credit bureaus: Trans Union Corp., Equifax, and Experian (formerly TRW).

Next, make sure that you have the loan capability for a mortgage. Contact a loan officer and get pre-approved. For those of you who don't know, getting pre-qualified and getting pre-approved are two different things.

For pre-approval, you will need to know:

• How much cash you have available for a down payment

• How much cash you have available for closing costs

• What is your current income

• What is your current job status

• Estimate of all assets

• Estimate of all debts

As Buyers you should feel comfortable throughout the home buying process. Even if you don't choose to use Exceptional Realty Services to guide you and advise you, I know this information will be valuable.

If you have not made up your mind in terms of representation, I encourage you to compare other agents to what we have to offer. Although most people chose their agent based upon referrals, statistics show that most homeowners are not satisfied with their agent by the end of the process. The lesson here is to do your homework and make sure the person you are looking to use is more qualified and can meet your needs better than we can.

If you choose to use Exceptional Realty Services, we will immediately compile a list of homes based on your personal wants and needs. We are available to answer any of your questions, anytime. We can assist you with the process of finding a home, help with getting a loan, information for relocation, listing and selling your home, investment tips and toolsforeclosure assistance, short sale information and so forth.
