Wordless Wednesday: Balmy New England Day

OK, so all you people who live in warm, sunny climates and don't know what you're missing by having four seasons, I present to you the most compelling reason why you should STAY WHERE YOU ARE!!

There are 3 cars in there somewhere...

Yes, there are actually THREE cars under that snow, not one.

Don't think we'll be jumping in the hot tub today...

That's about 18 inches of new snow on top of the hot tub that fell overnight. It was clear at 11:30 PM when we went to bed. It's gonna be a LONG day clearing all this mess.

SO, who wants to come to New England???

Pat & Wayne, It's still coming down, here in Bolton, Ct. I am just 15 minutes from Hartford and 20 minutes to UConn. We already have 22 inches! I bet we hit 30 inches by noon! Loving the beautiful white coating of nature! Hubby is cleaning out the 200 foot driveway, now! I took photos, but, my computer is not uploading them. Another tech glitch! Foiled again!

Yes, it's still snowing here, too, Fran! Pat and I are still in our jammies, hot coffee in hand, waiting for it to stop so we can go out and "enjoy" nature's bounty! I hope you can get your pics uploaded soon, I wanna see 'em!

Looks like you're in for a long, hard winter but I know that you will find beauty and you will have the courage to do all the things you need to do because that's what people who live in these cold climates do! I wouldn't call it fun, Jim! Three and a quarter hours and 2 tanks of gas worth of snowblowing, plus I fell on some ice, and my back feels like I was run over by a plow!

Pat and Wayne, we got close to 24" where I live here in Middletown. The plow did not hit our street until 3:00 PM, and there was no way anyone was going anywhere until they plowed. Even an emergency vehicle got stock on my street because the snow was so high.
