Coeur d'Alene Idaho Waterfront Homes for sale.

Moyie River Deer stuck in Ice This little deer was caught in the melting ice at our cabin in North Idaho. After several hours of struggling he finally broke free and made it to shore. It was scarry for awhile!

Not sure why he tried to cross in all that broken ice and slush but I'm shure he'll think twice before he tries it again!

It's amazing how they can survive freezing temperatures for that long.

How sad! I am sure that with the ice being so unstable no one could go out and help him. Thank God he had a winter coat and was able to get out.

JM & Kathy, I know, it was pretty stressful. However, nothing could be done. Too far out to reach him with anything. Too dangerous to go out into the freezing ice and slush. We would have probably ended up like him or worse. Fortunately he was more equipped to handle the freezing temperatures and strong enough to keep up the fight. It was such a relief to finally watch him make it to shore.

Pam and Joetta, Saw the little guy at the cabin this weekend. By the time I got the camera he had already wandered into the woods with his family. Hopefully I can get one next time we go up. It will be nice to have a before and after!
