Wasn't That A Toy?

I got around to processing some of my photos from the latest Oaxaca trip. One day we got a surprise. My wife and I had been to a market about 20 miles out of the main city and the cab driver, our friend Felix, took us to a cafeteria for lunch. The cafeteria was a big fancy place. The food was never ending. But outside there was a kid's playground. They had, like at an amusement park, those little paddle boats in sort of a big tub.

But the thing that blew my mind was a full-size large airplane that the kids could play on. Now that is some playground piece.

Steven,

Isn't that a DC-3?  And you were visiting Oaxaca; I'm a little envious.  :)

Steve, that plane looks to be an old DC-3. Talk about a work-horse...

I am an old DC-1953.  Or so I'm told.

Yes, I was born in DC... and I am a work horse.

Now that's quite a toy. The adults were probably just as impressed as the kids.

Steve,

That is my kind of toy.  I could be a kid again in that!

How cool is that? I would have loved, not only as a kid, but even now to poke around in an old air plane!

Now that is a great play ground accessory. I love old planes. One of the highlights of my trip to Seattle, besides meeting you Steve, was going to the Boeing air museum. That place was awesome.
