I want this man. Are you this Realtor (R) in the Fresno California area?

One of my favorite shows on HGTV.  Wish there were a lot more agents like Mike out there.  He really says what the sellers need to hear.

I want that man too, Ginger!  I'm not a real estate agent, but sometimes I bring MLS photos of comparables with me to show the sellers what they're up against.  This is especially effective for larger condo developments, where more than one unit is for sale.  Julie

Oh Ginger, you are so right! I would love to have that kind of a relationship with realtors in Fresno. I think sellers here might need a gentler approach, but who knows. Once it got around that his style worked it would take off.

I love that show. Love Sabrina too, except that without an HGTV budget no one could do all the

 DYI projects so fast and so well. Like her style and personality however.

So here's to finding several "Mike type" agents in Fresno. Our market NEEDS THEM!

Intriquing title,  I had to read  toi read to see what you were talking about.   I don't get HGTV right now an get more work done that way!   

Ginger, I must admit I do like Mike. I hope he takes his real clients out and shows them the competition. Of course his support of staging is wonderful. I'm lucky enough to have a couple of Mikes to work with. I would truely love more ;).

I have some realtors that believe in staging, some enough to pay for it themselves, but they don't tend to call me in for just consultations, which I love to do and have had tremendous success with. 

Right now I'm working on an essay that will include using more statistics, and have added a page on my website about why staging costs what it does (I know we're supposed to use the word "investment," but let's face it - to the seller they are COSTS!) :)

Hi Ginger! I watch this show too but I must be too much of a softie as I find him too abrasive! The message is absolutely right on but I think the way he delivers it makes it harder for sellers to accept. Sometimes the sellers really do need a wake up call but sometimes they are in distressed situations and I can understand how it's hard to get the bad news!

Glad you brought it up though as it's a powerful combination - getting sellers to see what they are competing with is a definitely eye opener!

I have a question.  I totally agree with the sellers needing to hear the truth and I think showing them comparables in person is a real eye opener.  I'm wondering if it's fair to the owners of the homes used as comparables.  How does it work?  Are sellers asked if their home can be shown for this purpose or are they left to assume it's an interested buyer looking at their home? 

I've yet to see this show Ginger but I was lucky to have a few REA's in GA who were forthtright w/ their clients. That paved the way for me to do what I do best. I felt we were a successful team!!!
