One more for the record. Last week’s extreme cold brought ice, sleet and snow. It almost brought our daily lives to a halt in the Dallas metroplex. Tomorrow we are facing another winter storm. The new winter storm is said to possibly have ice and sleet only it’s not expected to be as bad as the one experienced in the prior week’s.
These extreme temps are playing havoc on the local area listings. The storm caught the seller on one of my listings in the process of revamping their house now that they had vacated. And it doesn’t look like that house will be ready before the next round of winter storms.
I would like to applaud a small handful of Realtors, Ben, Stephen, Mary Pat, Pam, Diane and Leonard, that were out in the extreme weather representing Murphy real estate. These agents were delivering their services with 4 new listings, 1 pending sale and 1 sold. Given the unfavorable conditions and locals inexperience with the extreme cold that is an awesome showing of customer care delivery.
The local weather guys are telling residents to expect 3 to 6 inches of snow accumulation in this next winter storm. Although it does sound much better than last week the air temperature is expected to drop down into the single digits with wind chills below zero. That’s cold!
It will be great when the Texas weather returns to its regular conditions. In the meantime, it is still a good time to buy or sell a home.
Wow!! That is a pretty amazing show of customer service. Congratulations to you and your team. Blessings!
Thanks, Joni, but I wasn't out there in the cold with these agents. They are deserving ones for keeping things rolling. Now this upcoming Friday may be my turn; waiting to see how that turns out.
Let's hope this is the last round of this extreme winter weather for the year Teral!
I sure hope it is, Karen, I am not too fond of the cold and this winter has been brutal.
I recently read a story from an agent that had a closing the day it snowed. The title company representative (Legacy Texas Title), picked up the agent from her home and drove to the owners house to close the deal. It was closed and funded that day.
Teral, So how was the weather this morning. My daughter is an International flight attendant and was scheduled to fly out of there at 8:00 this morning to take troops to Germany. Since I have not heard from her I'm assuming that got out on schedule but I have been wondering what it was like.
