The Halifax Historical Museum in Daytona Beach to hold "Lecture Series" about Daytona Beach Area entrepreneurs who have realized extreme success.
The special lecture series "Entrepreneurial Dreams that Grew" will start Saturday (February 26, 2011) at 10:30, at the Halifax Historical Museum in downtown Daytona Beach, and will feature four local success stories.

- J. Hyatt Brown, of Brown & Brown Insurance (March 19)
- Jan Gage of Gage Publishing ((April 9)
- Ron Rice, founder of Hawaiian Tropic (May 14)
Fayne Le Veille, the Museum's Director hopes that series will provide inspiration about the bright side to the economy. Four local entrepreneurs will tell the story of how they overcame the odds and emerged as industry leaders.
All programs will begin at 10:30 a.m. following Coffee/Danish at 10 a.m. The cost is $5 for museum members, and $6 for non-members.
The Halifax Historical Society, is situated in downtown Daytona Beach was founded in 1949. The mission of the Society is to gather, preserve, educate and present the history of the Halifax River area to the public.
Since 1986 the Halifax Historical Museum has been housed in the 100 year old former Merchant's Bank Building located in the heart of the downtown historical district of Daytona Beach. The building was built in 1910 and is a destination in itself.
Visitors often comment that this museum and it's impressive collections are one of the best kept "secrets" in the North Central Florida area.
The museum is warm and inviting.
