A Crocodile Has Been Spotted in Boulder, Colorado!
Surviving Your Serengeti is a new book authored by Stefan Swanepoel. In his newest book., Stefan identifies and examines the 7 SKIllS TO MASTER BUSINESS AND LIFE.
"Just as animals on the Serengeti possess a unique skill that helps them survive, your strengths drive you on when life becomes difficult." writes Stephan Swanepoel. Stefan explores in this book and discoveries that the skill-sets possessed by some of the key animals in the Serengeti, describe perfectly our own skill sets.
By the way........ if you haven't already taken the quiz: What Annimal Am I, now would be a good time to discover for yourself not only the animal you are most like, but unique set of skills you posses.
Stefan's fable is a tale of Sean Spencer and his wife, Ashley who along with two other couples: Dave and Mary Johnson and Anthony and Cecilia Cruz meet up at a camp for a three day safari in the African Serengeti which stretches out over 10,000 square miles, covering two countries, Tanzania and Kenya.
Their journey starts in in the south-central portion of the park called the Senoera. From the moment Sean and Ashley arrive in a small Csena plane, the vastness of the wilderness encompasses them. Sean, who owns his own business and came along on the trip, because his wife Ashely won the trip isn't all that enthused about being away from his business, and soon discovers, to his dismay, that his blackberry is essentially useless without any bars of service.
On the first night of their journey, Sean encounters an old Univeristy friend, by the name of Zachara Makena. Zachara, described by the other guests as "the man of mystory" is also introduced to Zachara.
Sitting around the blaze of the campfire, in the cold night air, Zachara, begins to describe his fascinating discovery that the core survival skills of the animals in many ways describe our own survival skills.
Zachary first begins to describe the survival skills of the white-bearded Wildebeest. He identifies their single most-defining skill as that of endurance. The Wildebeest need water every day and their migration to find a constant source of water and food pushes them onward even in the face of fear, thirst, hunger, exhaustion and predation. Their unique survival skill has allowed them to not only survive but thrive.
After retiring to their tent, Sean and Ashley make a plan to change the course of their safari and meet up with Zachara the next morning and follow him on his quest to study the Wildebeest, witness first hand the first major water crossing of the year and to determine how much the size of the lead heard has changed.

For those of you, who have not already guessed, I'm a Crocodile. I took the test multiple times, to make sure, and......definitely a crocodile and a enterprising crocodile at that. I'd like to think of myself as creative with an ability to think outside the box (more traits of the crocodile). I also have determination to succeed, self-confidence and a desire to lead rather than to follow. (I've never been very good at following.)

Stephan's new book, Surviving you Serengeti will be available on March 1, 2011. However, I had the good fortune to get one of his pre-released books at our recent Keller Williams Family Reunion. It is a amazing book of self-discovery you won't want to miss.
