Thousands of birds descend on Buckeye

By
Home Inspector with Greens Home Design L.L.C. AZBTR #49380

The recent rains in Buckeye have brought out the insects.  When the insects come out, so do the birds.  This morning when we went outside there were literally thousands of birds around the neighborhood snatching up all the insects they could find.

This is about half of the birds that were there before I got close enough to take the picture.

I guess they didn't want to stick around for a close up.

Back in the days when Phoenix was mostly agricultural farms there were lots and lots of dove and other birds around.  We would sometimes have hawks in our backyard resting or eating ater a hunt.

Sounded like a Hitchcock movie and had to come in to gawk, see the images! Great ones!

Nature doesn't really let things go to waste. Those insects have been turned into birds effectively. Something else is feeding on the birds, thats why they are 'camera shy'.
