J Fergeson's Gallery is one of those businesses that I love to support. J Fergeson Gallery is a commercial art gallery located on Main Street in Farmville, VA. They are located near the High Bridge State Park and Walker's Diner. It is truly a great place to visit and shop. The gallery provides great events to attend thru-out the year. They offer monthly rotating exhibits of regional and national artists which is truly a great thing to do in Farmville, VA.
They offer all types of art from large wall pieces, small wall pieces, pottery, jewelry, note-cards and so much more. Their offerings are of many different price points. I bought most of my Christmas presents at his gallery. It is a great place to go to purchase an unique present that the receiver is sure to love.
In addition to offering a great fare of art in tons of price ranges. He also offers gallery opening events where frequently the artist is present for the public to meet. The most recent artist was William Clarke. His collection Here, There and Everywhere is available for viewing until March 31st.
William Clarke paints with huge emotions. He features churches, country stores, African-American heritage in a raw and emotional state.
One of the great things about this opening is that William H Clark did a children's art series for local youth. The children's art is available for viewing, prominently displayed below the artist William H. Clark. A great collaborative event. I approached one of the young artists and asked if she would be interested in selling. I am a huge fan of snowmen, and I have featured the artwork below. I do not yet know the answer to whether I will be the owner of a great new snowman! But what I know is that because of owners of businesses like J Ferguson Gallery, art is available for many people to see and appreciate. I also purchased a pair of small paintings called Young Love by William Clarke. I am very excited about placing my new artwork in my home.
