Four Days Without Rain, And I'm Parched

A bee without nectar... Mike in Tucson, AZ mortgage lenderIt's been four days without Rain, and I'm getting parched.

The cool thing about a good habit is that when you don't do it, you begin to feel out of step with your world.

I take that back.  I begin to feel out of step with my world. I'm like that bee on the right, looking for nourishment and carrying no pollen.

Something's missing.

That something for the last four days has been interacting with friends and co-workers across the continent on the Active Rain Real Estate Network.

The earthquake and subsequent tragedies in Japan are a shock to my sense of how the world ought to be, and I have found myself withdrawing from ordinary activities.

That's not a good thing, and I've struggled for the past few days to find an image analogous to my circumstance.

I think I've found it, and I'd like to share it with you.

HI MIKE!  Well - when one finds himself out of step -- I tend to think it's a good way to get noticed so others can help you get back in-step.  I would have never guessed talking to you the other day that anything was out of the ordinary.  You carry it well!

The tragedy in Japan certainly has upset our day to day lives--things I thought were important seem much less so. Subscrbed, Mike. Thanks.

You're not alone Mike.  I have had a feeling is "disquietude".  Even the word is disturbing but it fits.

The horror that is now Japan is truly a horrible natural disaster

I see our country heading for a man made disaster, which is more disquiting.

Lenn,

Disquietude is apropos to both concerns.  I agree with you.

What a fabulous picture and life goes on.  I know what you mean about depressing news becoming overload and oppressing!  What's happening in the middle east, WI and and now all combined with the horrendous situation in Japan plus the normal dismal news certainly creates "overload, overload and more overload!"

I decided to take a recovering break today and try and leave the TV on OFF.  It's been raining cats and dogs and I was glad last evening I'd arranged with 2 other ladies to take a break and go out for lunch.  Had a fabulous lunch and great time and now feel a little refreshed.  Actually I'm even going to do the unheard of and take a break in my recliner with a dog kid in my lap for a nap.  Than, back at it.

Take care -- Sue of Robin and Sue

Wow Mike that's a great picture of a honey bee. I had a swarm in one of my trees last year, and it scared the neighbors children. Within a few days it was gone.

Larry,

If you leave a swarm alone, they'll move on.  Thanks for commenting.

Gary,

I appreciate the encouragement!

Sue,

I hope you enjoyed that nap.  I think I need a recliner in the office...

Barbara-Jo,

I'm glad you stopped by!
