Meet the two newest family members to the Barrett household. They don't even have names yet.
Our two newest members were adopted yesterday evening. We adopted them through ARK, The Animal Rescue and Kare organization of McCurtain County.
We met with Glenna Ward of ARK and looked at the puppies from this litter. There were seven of them to choose from. It was difficult to make the decision...I wanted to bring all of them home with me but of course that was not going to be a wise decision....
ARK is a hard-working group of people that strive to care for unwanted animals in our area and find owners for them.
Bernie, our long-time Barrett household member was found with the help of ARK. He was not adopted through them but actually came from the dog pound in Broken Bow.
BUT our two newest members are ARK adoptees.
We haven't even named them yet, suggestions?
Bernie (read how we got Bernie) and CuCu,(I took something from a vacant listing, and you would have too) our cat, had their own way of getting acquainted when we brought them home to the farm yesterday...
Aren't they the cutest puppies you've ever seen? And on the farm, they will have plenty of room...which they'll need since they will be pretty big dogs. Edited here thanks to Maureen's comment below - They are 3/4 German Shepherd and 1/4 Boxer.
When it's time for a new four-legged member in your household, please consider adopting one of the many animals that are available through organizations across the nation like ARK.
