It Might Just Work In Real Estate, Too !!!

A few days ago I went to my local Wild Bird Center store to buy safflower seed. As you may know, it is a favorite of cardinals. Also, as you can see, the graphic on the bag advertises that fact quite eloquently without any words. However, one can never be absolutely certain of advertising honesty these days. Shortly after we added it to one of our tubular feeders we snapped a shot of a cardinal with a safflower seed in his beak. Wow - it worked as the bag indicated!!!!

What a concept, Karen. Imagine if the car dealers got ahold of this one :) and used it in their ads. Have you ever tried to read the teeny tiny print on car ads these days!!!

Ok, we could go off on a whole other tangent with this line of thinking, Karen! What if... eating that specific food really did make you lose weight? What if... drinking that diet pop really did make the fat just melt off? What if... driving that car really did make you look like 007? What if... living in that neighborhood really did give you the status of a king? What if...

Advertising has become so fake now that I, like many others I'm sure, just tune it out. I recently participated in a survey where they asked me to watch a particular television show and then answer some questions. I could answer not one question - because they were all about the commercials!

Karen, Our jobs would be so much easier if we could trust everything that was printed. Good post.

Another thing about that bag of seed is that the male cardinal does feed the female as shown, when they are courting. So there is even another layer of truth on that simple bag of seed.

This would have been a great post for the BIRDS Group!
